If you suspect bed bugs in your Central, New York home, call Sweeney's Pest Elimination, LLC for immediate assistance with bed bug removal and extermination in the Ithaca, Cortland, Skaneateles and Syracuse areas of Central, NY. Bed bugs can enter your home through bedding or clothing from an infested site, or from upholstered furniture you bought at the store, garage sale or picked up off the curb.
Bed bug elimination and removal is a tricky thing. Once they get into your home, they simply go to work looking for all the best places to build their nests and that happens to be beddings.
The bites from bed bugs can easily become a horrible experience with some bites actually becoming infected. Although bed bugs do not cause structural damage to your home, they can devalue your house if you are looking to sell. Buyers are very cautious and educated in the pitfalls of bed bug removal. Buyers will have a hard time wanting to take on a house with this situation.
Quick and effective treatment needs to commence as soon as the bed bugs are noticed. Removing bed bugs is not a job for home remedies or over-the-counter treatments.
Sweeney's Pest Elimination, LLC in Homer, NY provides a free inspection and quote to identify the problem.
Please print our Bed Bug Preparation Sheet before the inspection is done. The Sweeney's Pest Elimination, LLC technician who will handle your bed bug extermination treatment will go over the preparation sheet with you at the time of the appointment. Please take your time completing the preparation steps; this is a very crucial step in eradicating the bed bugs! Treatment may be delayed if the preparation is not done properly. Once the preparation is done, call our office at 1-855-3-BUG-GUYS to schedule the treatments.
We typically do two treatments. The treatments are scheduled one week apart because we legally have to wait a full week before applying the insecticide again. The resident(s) must be out of the house for at least 3 hours after the treatment is complete in order to let the insecticide dry. The technician will discretely place a door hanger on the exterior door with the re-entry time.
After the treatment, you may still see live bed bugs. This is normal. The insecticide is not an instant kill and takes time to work. However, if you are still seeing live bed bugs a month after the second treatment, please call our office. Figuring out how the bed bugs got there in the first place will help ensure no re-infestation occurs.
